A few years back when my family's business was entering the private digital forensics market, we were working with legendary Case Breakers Jim Christy. If you don't know who Jim is, then Google his name, he's arguably the world's foremost authority on digital forensics and though he's humble and might not admit it (might not be allowed to admit it) his team's work led to the capture of KSM and the eventual raid on the Bin Laden compound. We know what happened there. Jim is the world's best Cyber Cop. Together we made the decision to connect with Todd Jordan, Founder of Jordan Detection K9, and we purchased K9s from him. My son volunteers with Jordan as a trainer and is also an experienced handler of his elite K9 Layla. Personally, I was touched with the stories of these K9 teams and their work on search warrants with multiple Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) FBI Task Forces across this great nation. These K9s are mesmerizing and their handlers are silent heroes. Their work has led to an amazing number of arrests for sexual exploitation of children and sex trafficking.
I felt that more people should know about these heroes and what Jordan Detection K9 is doing. To me, awareness can lead to donations and support which will lead to more resources so that even more K9 teams can be trained and reach farther and farther into the dark corners where these bad guys dwell like spiders in a web. Not knowing what I can do to help, the decision was made to do a documentary which is being morphed into a TV series. The Pilot is shot and we are now seeking a distribution partner to do a 12+ episode series on a widely watched TV Network (Animal Planet or Discovery?) in a true crime reality TV series sure to become the next COPS. The series is called A CHILD'S BEST FRIEND and feature Todd as the world's authority of ESD K9s and will follow trainer/handler Spence across the country to various law enforcement agencies where these K9 teams are actively involved. Viewers will fall in love with these loveable K9s and get to know the agencies and the handlers in their respective communities. each episode will conclude with a real life search warrant and results of that search will be displayed at the episode's conclusion.
